CARTER, M. A. b. Dec 11 1827 in Darlington, S.C. d. Apr 29 1882, "Aged 54 y, 4 m and 18 d.", Martha Adams Carter, mother of Ada Carter Winston. Stone reads: "Having finished life's duty, she now sweetly rests." The stone is signed in the lower right corner in script writing "A. Seavengood"
