Matchett Cemetery, Sumter County, Florida

Matchett-St. Catherine Cemetery was established in the 1860s.  It
contains many homemade stones and slabs.  It is neatly mowed and well
kept, and contains a sprinkler system.  It is fenced on 4 sides with
double gate and pedestrian gate on front.  There are no locks on gates. 
The first unit contains several shade trees.  There is another section
directly across the County Road, which contains only the double crypts
of Arley Roy Williams and Roy Levon Williams.


There are several graves marked only by Funeral Home markers, some of
which are not readable.  There are signs of unmarked graves, and
unreadable stones.
